About

Adam is an extremely talented writer-performer and actor who is developing material for BBC Three, Baby Cow and BBC Radio.

His show BRING ME THE HEAD OF ADAM RICHES won Best Show at the 2011 Edinburgh Comedy Awards and gained 5 star reviews at the Pleasance Courtyard.

Adam performed his 2011 award-winning Edinburgh show at the 2012 Montreal Just For Laughs Festival and also did a short run at the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe.

His 4 part radio series, THE GUNS OF ADAM RICHES, is currently airing on BBC Radio 4 on Thursdays (14th, 21st, 28th Feb) at 11.00pm.

Adam is currently in rehearsals for the role of Andy Warhol in Harold Finley's play A THOUSAND MILES OF HISTORY which will run from the 4th to the 30th March at the Bussey Building in Peckham.

He will appear in Sky Atlantic's new comedy series COMMON GROUND in COLIN with Simon Day.

In 2012, Adam had showcases in New York and Los Angeles in conjunction with CAA. He also had a sold-out five week run of his Edinburgh Comedy Award-winning show at the Soho Theatre

Adam was nominated for the Times Breakthrough Award at The South Bank Sky Arts Awards last year.

The hour flies by in a whirl of one-liners, set pieces and cheerful menace. Riches structures it so that we feel the thrill of chaos on the surface with the reassuring feeling that someone is in charge underneath. “Yeah, laugh it up guys,” he says to some audience members, celebrating that they’ve been passed over for a spot of participation, “see you in two characters’ time.” Riches was under most people’s radars until he won the award last summer. This is his first big London run. It’s utter nonsense. And it’s an absolute joy.
The Times

‘60 minutes of brilliantly conceived chaos – I never stopped laughing once.’
★★★★★
Independent

‘Dementedly, lysergically creative and very cleverly written, too… a tear-inducingly funny piece of work.’
★★★★★
Telegraph

‘There is some kind of wonderful to watching a great idea well written and expanded into a brilliant sketch, performed to perfection and squeezed until its comedy pips squeak. Adam Riches is exactly that kind of wonderful… The most gifted of character comedians.’
★★★★★
Scotsman

‘The best sketch show I have ever seen.’
