In addition to working with John Geddes Alun Rees has worked on book projects with other ex SAS including Mike Curtis and Eddie Stone. 

As a correspondent Alun covered conflicts in the Middle East, Africa, the Indian sub continent and Central and South America. Also Northern Ireland. He also covered major crime stories including the Yorkshire Ripper case, the Hungerford Massacre, the Dunblane school shootings, the Brighton Bombing and the case of Fred and Rose West. Alun Rees was first to expose the pilot whale hunting on the Faroe Islands and was made Investigative Journalist of the Year, he was also Motoring Journalist of the Year for exposing failings in the intoximeter breathalyser machine.
