Andy is Director and Executive Producer on MONARCH: LEGACY OF MONSTERS, for Legendary/ Apple. Previously, he was Director and Executive Producer of CARNIVAL ROW Series 2 for Legendary/Amazon, having worked on Series 1. His third feature film, SIX MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT, which he co-wrote with Celyn Jones and Eddie Izzard, was released by Lionsgate International in 2020. The film stars Judi Dench, alongside Eddie Izzard, Jim Broadbent, Carla Juri and James D’Arcy.
His feature debut, SET FIRE TO THE STARS, which he co-wrote, had its world premiere at the 2014 Edinburgh International Film Festival where it was nominated for the Michael Powell Award for Best British Feature. The film was nominated for seven Welsh BAFTA Awards, winning three, later nominated for the Best Screenplay and Audience Award at the Miami International Film Festival, 2015.
SET FIRE dramatised Dylan Thomas's first troubled visit to New York in 1950 featuring performances from co-writer Celyn Jones as The Welsh poet and Elijah Wood as John Malcolm Brinnin. The film was released in the US through Strand Releasing.
Andy's second feature, A KIND OF MURDER with Patrick Wilson and Jessica Biel was adapted from Patricia Highsmith's 1954 novel The Blunderer. The film had its US premiere at Tribeca Film Festival in April 2016.
A prolific director for TV, Andy recently shot CARNIVAL ROW for Amazon and ALTERED CARBON for Netflix. He divides his time between the UK and the US, directing shows including DAREDEVIL, LUKE CAGE and THE PUNISHER for Marvel/Netflix. 2016 also saw him leading ITV's brand new thriller THE LEVEL from Hillbilly Films.
Andy is also represented in the US by Abram Nalibotsky at Gersh and lawyer, Michael Schenkman.
