Anya wrote her first play when she was 14 and then became a member of the Royal Court Theatre's Young Writers' Programme.  Last year she was invited to take part in the Royal Court's Supergroup of young writers.

Her new adaptation of Wedekind's SPRING AWAKENING tour for Headlong this Spring and her new version of THREE SISTERS plays at the Southwark Playhouse from April.  Her version of THE SEAGULL was recently revived by the Library Theatre Company at the Lowry, having premiered at the Southwark Playhouse at the end of 2012.  Last year FORTY-FIVE MINUTES played as part of NT Connections 2013 and in 2011 THE ACID TEST played at the Royal Court where it received rave reviews.

Her debut play, SPUR OF THE MOMENT (written when she was 17) opened at the Royal Court Theatre in July 2010.  Since then Anya has won the Most Promising Playwright Award at the 2010 Evening Standard Awards, Best New Play at the 2010 TMA Awards and Most Promising Playwright at the 2010 Critics' Circle Awards.

She is currently writing a screenplay for DNA/Film4, HANDSOME DEVILS, another with Number 9 Films, is developing a TV series idea, EXCLUSIVE, with Lovely Day Productions.
