Ben has produced and directed many television shows and films including “James Corden’s World Cup Live,” “This is Justin Bieber” (ITV1), "A Very JLS Christmas" "When Robbie Met James" (Sky 1). Last year Ben travelled across the world with Gary Barlow, after being requested by the Palace to make the official song for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. The two men travelled across four continents finding musicians who could play on the song. Ben exec produced and directed the film "Gary Barlow: On Her Majesty's Service" while Gary wrote and produced the song. Both were a hit. The documentary was the most watched single documentary of the year, while the song "Sing" captured the hearts of the nation and remained at number 1 in the charts for three weeks.
Ben has also co-produced the Brits Awards for the last three years. For Comic Relief he has worked alongside James Corden creating, writing and directing many memorable Smithy sketches working with everyone from George Michael to Paul Macartney, David Beckham to Gordon Brown.
As a commercials and promo director his 2010 his advert for “A League Of There Own” won the gold award at Berlin Pro Max Awards. He also and also directed the 2011 Christmas Campaign and idents for BBC One, “Consider Yourself One Of Us,” and the award winning campaign for the Sport Relief mile. He has directed music videos for JLS, Gary Barlow and One Direction, winning an MTV VMA Moonman for his One Direction video "Best Song Ever."
He recently produced the blockbuster hit One Direction movie "This Is Us" which broke records around the globe. He also directed the 3D documentary movie, “JLS: Eyes Wide Open” which opened on over 400 screens across the UK. At the time it was the biggest grossing music UK cinema release of all time. His first film “In the Hands of the Gods” (Lionsgate) which he produced. The film became the widest release of a UK cinema documentary of all time.
He is a partner at Fulwell 73, a production company he and three friends launched in 2007.
