About

Chris was born and brought up in Derry, Northern Ireland. He studied at Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of La Laguna, Tenerife.

As a writer, Chris has developed projects for Dream Works, Film Four, Talkback Thames, BBC, Pathe and Kudos. He has developed a number of projects with Oscar-winning screenwriter Simon Beaufoy (SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, THE FULL MONTY) including the environmental thriller BURN UP, the screen adaptation of Steven Hall's cult novel THE RAW SHARK TEXTS, and the adaptation of Terry Pratchett's BROMELIAD TRILOGY as the animated feature EVERYTHING MUST GO.

He has been working with Hillbilly Film and Television to help develop an original TV drama series, and is currently in development talks with Northern Ireland Screen regarding his recent feature film THE PILGRIMAGE.

He has recently delivered a redraft of the screenplay LITTLE LADY FAUNTLEROY for Magma Productions.

Chris was judged runner-up for the BBC NI Tony Doyle Bursary for New Writing for 2010.  And he is part of The Salt Comany's collaborative initiative The Viper's Nest: a small, select group of talented writers, directors and producers.
