Cressida was awarded the Bulldog Prinsep Bursary from the National Theatre Studio and was on attachment there from November 2007 to March 2008. After graduating from UCL with a BA (Hons) in English, Cressida trained as an actor at Central School of Speech and Drama. Whilst there, she founded Offstage Theatre, whose maiden project , HOME, was performed in the vacated St Catherine's tower block on the Beaumont Estate in East London. She received TIME OUT Critics' Choice for her production of Matt Hartley's short play, SENTENCED, at the Union Theatre. Cressida worked as a producer on the 24 Hour Plays and Starbuck's New Voices at the Old Vic from September to November, 2006. Cressida directed a production of PHAEDRE, in a site-specific version staged in the ruins of Craigmillar Castle for the 2007 Edinburgh Festival. She is currently Assistant Director on Gregory Doran's RSC productions of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST and HAMLET. Cressida has both UK and US passports. |
