Danny won the BBC Tony Doyle Bursary Award for New Writing, since which time he has written various television commissions and original features.

Before becoming freelance, Danny was a commissioning assistant in Channel 4's Entertainment department, working on the channel's sitcoms and comedy series, including Ali G, Black Books and Spaced.

Alongside his writing career, Danny is an experienced script reader/consultant for a number of leading UK film companies. He also writes a popular screenwriting blog at www.dannystack.blogspot.com with a new "the best of" version at: http://www.scriptwritingintheuk.co.uk The blog inspired him to set up the Red Planet Prize, a screenwriting initiative for new writers, with writer/producer Tony Jordan.

His latest venture is Liquid Lunch, a 2 minute 6-part comedy web series he has written and directed: two guys regularly meet in the pub to break up the monotony of their working day but when they realise life is passing them by, they decide to do something about it.
