Deborah Wright was born in 1975. After graduating from Oxford University with a degree in English she sang in a rock band and worked briefly for a charity before becoming a full-time writer. She divides her time between Surrey and Manchester and in her spare time enjoys painting, bird-spotting, gambling and studying religions.
