| George Clarke is an architect and creative director of architectural practice clarke:desai and property development company dreamspaces. He is also a writer, lecturer and TV presenter.
In 2000, George started his own practice, clarke:desai, with business partner Bobby Desai. clarke:desai have established a reputation as a talented design company with a very high profile client list. Their portfolio includes innovative residential cultural and urban design projects accross the world. clarke:desai have offices in London and the West Country. George`s architectural practice, university teaching and research allow him to develop ways of creating new kinds of architecture. He is passionate about the way architecture can transform our everyday lives and his aim is to make architecture popular and accessible to the public. George presented three series of the highly successful "Build a New Life" for Five - series 3 was broadcast in 2007. His previous programmes include "Property Dreams" and "A Dream Home Abroad". In 2008 he signed an exclusive 2 year deal with Channel 4. The first of his series for them will be a new interiors magazine programme for prime time called The Home Show, due to transmit in the autumn of 2008. George Clarke is an architect and is Creative Director of architectural practice George Clarke + Partners. He is also a writer, lecturer and TV presenter. George Clarke + Partners has established a reputation for designing and building high quality, award winning projects throughout the UK and abroad. The company is multidisciplinary and covers all aspects of architecture, design, project management, construction and property development. The work of George Clarke + Partners combined with a successful media career, university teaching and continued research into design and the build environment, allows George to develop ways of creating new kinds of architecture. He is passionate about the way architecture can transform our everyday lives and his aim is to make architecture popular and accessible to the public, while at the same time creating award winning homes for his clients. TV After making three successful series of Build A New Life for Five from 2004 to 2007, George became the face of architecture at Channel 4 with the launch of The Home Show in 2008, Restoration Man in 2009 and the empty homes campaigning series The Great British Property Scandal which transmitted on Channel 4 in 2011. George is currently making series 3 and 4 of Restoration Man, which will be transmitted later in 2012 and in 2013. He is also making a follow-up series for The Great British Property Scandal to be transmitted later this year, as well as a number of other exciting projects that will be announced very soon.
