About

Harry is a multi award-winning director who began his career as assistant to John Schlesinger in 1993. His short film, A Night with a Woman A Day with Charlie; opened the First Frame Series on Channel Four to critical acclaim and he went on to work with Tony Garnett on the hit shows This Life and Attachments. He was first director on The Cops, a groundbreaking piece of television which won the BAFTA for Best Series two years in a row (1998-9). This led to As The Beast Sleeps, a film for BBC Northern Ireland. Written by Gary Mitchell and shot in East Belfast, As The Beast Sleeps was a searing political drama which won 3rd place in the Prix Europa and was an official selection at the Edinburgh, London, Montreal, Boston & New York Festivals.

Harry’s other work as first director includes Outlaws (BAFTA Nominee 2004), Sugar Rush (International Emmy, BAFTA Nominee 2006), and Perfect Day (Rose d’Or Nominee 2007). Most recently he has directed Lip Service for Kudos, The Hour for the Kudos/BBC 2 and Bound for Tiger Aspect/BBC 1.
