Idiots of Ants are Andrew Spiers, Elliot Tiney, Benjamin Wilson and James Wrighton. Their unique blend of fast-paced sketch comedy has invigorated the genre and they’ve attracted a large following across the UK. Their website can be found at www.idiotofants.com

Their sketches will shortly appear on BBC online and their first National tour starts this spring: From the 9th April to 1st June. They recently won the Sketch or Character Act award at the 2010 Annual Chortle Awards.

The Idiots were nominated for Best New Show at the 2009 Edinburgh Comedy Awards for their impressive sketch show THIS IS WAR, which attracted a raft of 4 and 5 star reviews. Guardian - “Their act is so well-honed that even the “mistakes” are made on purpose. The chemistry between the performers is convincing whether in role or out.”

Recently, they were one of the only sketch groups to perform at this year’s Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal (www.hahaha.com), alongside comedy legends John Cleese (who appeared in one of their sketches in Toronto), Whoopi Goldberg, Bill Cosby and fellow UA client Stewart Francis.They uploaded a regular video blog of their time in Canada which can be found at www.funnyordie.co.uk or on their website.

Idiots Of Ants have also had their sketches played at the G8 Summit, filmed a short film to help Friends of The Earth promote their call to action to get air travel included in the next debate on the upcoming Climate Change Bill , written comedy scripts for the likes of Sienna Miller and Tony Blair, featured on BBC 2’s THE CULTURE SHOW (Edinburgh Festival Special), Channel Four's SCHOOL OF COMEDY and an original comedy on E4.

The ‘Idiots’ also work as actors, having appeared in numerous commercials, comedy shows, films and television.

They run the new writing comedy night ‘Crash Test Comedy’ once a month at the Pleasance Theatre, Islington, where brand new sketch, character and stand up comedy is showcased. Some select reviews:
