Some years ago Kim trained as a textile designer at Loughborough, and subsequently worked as a designer/agent and lecturer.  After having a family, and spending a lot of time reading to her children, she started making her own books, and her passion for children's literature and picture books grew.  Kim studied illustration at both Chelsea and Putney art colleges, and when she’s not making books she likes to paint.

Kim loves all animals, and creepy crawlies, especially beetles, and spiders, and is a heroine in her own home - when it comes to rescuing a damsel in distress and the spider is the size of a bus, who you gonna call?

Kim works and lives in South London, surrounded by kids and animals and all that brings...  her biggest inspiration.
