Michael is 38 and lives in London. He studied illustration at Portsmouth University earning 1st Class Honors and now works solely on writing and illustration books for children of all ages. Picture books include Scaredy Cat and Boo - nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal, and young fiction series The Unbelievable Adventures of Jake Cake - with the first book shortlisted for the Waterstone's Children's Book Prize and the Nottingham Children's Book Award.
Michael likes dogs, mugs of tea, and painting big canvasses.
