Oliver Cotton's latest play, DAYTONA, had its world premiere at London's brand new venue, Park Theatre, last week.  Starring Maureen Lipman, Harry Shearer and John Bowe, DAYTONA is directed by David Grindley and choreographed by Francesca Jaynes.

"...........Maureen Lipman's delivery is utterly mesmerising.................. set in New York on 1986, Joe and Elli are married Jewish immigrants in their 70s, with a shared love of ballroom dancing.   One night, Joe''s brother, Billiy, who's been absent since 1955, suddenly bursts back into their lives.....Cotton has a gift for fusing .... humorous, everyday trivialities with the fantastical.......  Emily Jupp Independent ****

"........Maureen Lipman in first-rate form....................... a griipping story, powerfully told and excellently performed....  Bowe ...superbly catches Billy's mixture of elation and confusion ....   while Shearer suggests guarded antipathy ................   David Grindley finds all the play's considerable strengths.....compelling and deeply humane production and one warmly recommend ........"  Charles Spencer Telegraph ****

"... one of the most intelligent trios in town...........for each, in turn, it is a dazzling showcase.....David Grindley ..offers extraordinaryanimating moments to remember ..."  Libby Purves The Times ****
