Russ Malkin is a British film producer and creative director. He produced and directed Long Way Round and Long Way Down the Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman motocycle adventures.

He has also worked on numerous other television productions including Murder or Mutiny, the World Wakeboarding Championships and Clothes Show Live for ITV.

He most recently produced and directed By Any Means starring Charley Boorman.

He won a Broadcast Award in 2005 (Best multi channel programme) for his work on Long Way Round, by the industry journal Broadcast.

Currently Russ is in the South Pacific on a tall ship sailing around the islands, which will take him to Vanuatu and New Zealand.  Russ has also just completed his adventures in the Cook Islands and did things such as building a traditional vata canoe then sailing to an uninhabited island, and night snorkeling with sharks.

He is next to South American in early September, then after that he’s travelling to the US, Egypt and Morocco.

Russ is currently traveling around the world working on his Big Earth book project.
