New Comedy Series FREE AGENTS Begins

FREE AGENTS, a six-part comedy series from the team behind two of
Channel 4’s most acclaimed comedies (SPACED and BLACK BOOKS), begins
its run on Friday 13th February at 10.00pm on Channel 4.

It stars United Agents clients Stephen Mangan (GREEN WING, CONFETTI and most recently Norman in THE NORMAN CONQUESTS at The Old Vic), Sharon Horgan (British Comedy Awards ‘Best Actress’ and South Bank Show Awards ‘Best Comedy’ winner for PULLING), Matthew Holness (GARTH MARENGHI’S DARKPLACE) and Stephanie Beacham (star of stage and screen). It’s produced by Nira Park and edited by Jonathan Amos

Alex (Mangan) is a talent agent suffering the emotional fall-out from
his divorce. Helen (Horgan), his fellow agent, has the office opposite
him and is also in pain; overcome with grief from a recent bereavement.
Deluded Alex believes they are perfect for one another. Helen thinks
quite the opposite. Yes she’s slept with him – twice – but there is
absolutely no way she is doing it again…

Free Agents depicts a world in which the agents’ boss (Head), their
clients, friends, relatives, accountants and even ex-partners are as
bizarrely dysfunctional as Alex and Helen themselves. This is a comedy
about an on-but-mostly-off romance between two people who might just
have a positive future together if they can shake off their past - www.free-agents.tv
