DON'T YOU LEAVE ME HERE

Two United Agents clients have received a clutch of rave reviews for
DON’T YOU LEAVE ME HERE at the West Yorkshire Playhouse. This new play,
about Jelly Roll Morton, is Clare Brown’s debut and is directed by Sarah Punshon.
Clare Brennan, in The Observer, praises Clare’s “dazzling debut” and
notes that Sarah’s “fine direction” delivers “performances so searingly
emotional that they could scorch your soul”.

The play runs in Leeds until 18th October 2008.

“Brown takes fragments of facts and, like a skilled jazz player
reconstructing a simple melody, turns them, twists them and re-examines
them multiple angles…in dialogue that is, for the most part, as supple,
surprising, as intricate and as varied as one of Mr Jelly Lord’s
improvisations”. Clare Brennan, The Observer

“Sarah Punshon provides eloquent direction” Alfred Hickling, The Guardian
