TYRANNOSAUR starring Olivia Colman opens to rave reviews

Following its success at film festivals earlier this year, TYRANNOSAUR, Paddy Considine's first feature film as a director has opened nationwide to rave reviews. The film tells the story of a violent man, Joe (Peter Mullan), who is offered a chance at redemption through his relationship with a charity shop worker, Hannah (Olivia Colman), whose home life with her husband James (Eddie Marsan) may not be as perfect as it outwardly appears. Nadia Stacey was hair and make up designer on the film.

At Sundance 2011, where the film received its world premier, it won World Cinema Special Jury Prize, Dramatic, for Breakout Performance for Olivia Colman and Peter Mullan and World Cinema Directing Award, Dramatic for Paddy Considine.

The film has gone on to win various other festival prizes including Best Writer/Director at the Nantucket Film Festival, Outstanding Debut Feature at Munich Film Festival, and The Golden Hitchcock: Grand Jury Prize / Ciné+ Award for Best Film and The Allianz Award for Best Screenplay at the Dinard British Film Festival.

Olivia Colman picked up the Best Acting Prize and TYRANNOSAUR took Best Film at the Voices Festival of Independent European Cinema

The film has now gone on general UK release and received fantastic opening-weekend reviews.
