Eddie Redmayne joins the cast of Tom Hooper's LES MISERABLES

Eddie Redmayne has been confirmed to play Marius in the Tom Hooper directed film version of Les Miserables for Universal Pictures also staring Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, Russell Crowe as Inspector Javert & Anna Hathaway as Fantine. Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Debra Hayward are producing for Working Title along with Cameron Mackintosh.

Eddie, who will soon be seen in cinemas opposite Michelle Williams in My Week With Marilyn, is currently in rehearsals for Richard II  at the Donmar Warehouse which is Michael Grandage's last production as Artistic Director. He also recently finished shooting BBC2's two part World War 1 miniseries Birdsong. 

He won both Olivier and Tony Awards for his performance in Red also for the Donmar & Broadway.
