Jane Danson wins RTS NORTH WEST AWARD

Congratulations to Jane Danson who has won the RTS NORTH WEST AWARD for BEST PERFORMANCE IN A CONTINUING DRAMA for her portrayal of Leanne Barlow in Coronation Street.

Jane won particular acclaim for her work in the 50th Anniversary Live Episode of Coronation Street in December 2010. 

She has been playing the role of Leanne for the best part of fourteen years which has seen her arrive with the family in 1997 as the neighbours from hell, to leaving for a new life in Amsterdam in 2000, returning to Weatherfield in 2007 and working secretly as a prostitute and now going through a tempestuous relationship with Peter Barlow.  What will be next for her?  Keep watching to find out...
