ACCUSED named Best Drama at the International Emmys

BBC drama ACCUSED, created by Jimmy McGovern and co-written by Danny Brocklehurst, has been awarded the International Emmy for Best Drama Series.  Christopher Eccleston was also named Best Actor for his work on the show.

A 6 part series, each episode of ACCUSED follows a defendant, or victim, through the legal process and its impact on their lives. 

The International Emmys are awarded each year by The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, comprising leading media and entertainment figures from over 50 countries, with previous Best Drama Series winners including THE STREET and LIFE ON MARS.
