BEHIND THE LINES and REPENTANCE at the Bush

Two new plays, REPENTANCE and BEHIND THE LINES, have opened in the Attic at the Bush Theatre, in a double-bill produced by Angle Theatre (founding member and Artistic Director: Charlotte Gwinner), directed by Blanche McIntyre, with set design by Dick Bird and sound design by Gregory Clarke.

The plays were sought out by Angle, scouring local communities in West London and requesting new work from unpublished writers.

A fascinating and rewarding experiment... a satisfying smack of authenticity.

Superbly directed by Blanche McIntyre, with a striking design by Dick Bird.
Telegraph

Staged, with enormous flair, by Blanche McIntyre.

It is Dick Bird’s remarkable design and McIntyre’s production that give the play visual impetus.

I welcome Angle’s urge to scout the streets for new writers.
Guardian

Innovatively staged... an admirable and important undertaking.
Whatsonstage

The double bill, intelligently blended by Blanche McIntyre’s direction and Dick Bird’s design, has a polished rawness to it.
