Fringe First for DIRTY GREAT LOVE STORY

DIRTY GREAT LOVE STORY by Richard Marsh and Katie Bonna, has been awarded a Fringe First at this year’s Edinburgh Festival (for innovation and outstanding new writing).

Can a one-night stand last a lifetime? In her eyes, he’s a mistake. A mistake who keeps turning up at parties. In his eyes, she’s perfect. He’s short-sighted. These hopeful, hapless romantics shamble through bleary mornings after, merry Christmas parties and cider-soaked festivals – but can they get together? Or even get breakfast? An achingly funny on-off love story of good intentions, bad timing and friendly livestock.

The production is directed by Pia Furtado and will be playing at the Pleasance Dome (Jack Dome), daily at 1:20pm until Monday 27th August.

Tickets can be booked here.

Reviews
Dirty Great Love Story does exactly what it says on the tin - and they could throw in the adjectives Lovely, Witty, Delicious too... Warmly and fuzzily recommended.
Independent *****

This is the kind of show that simultaneously restores your faith in human nature and the Fringe... the gag-filled, gutsy writing just keeps on coming... Bliss.
Telegraph ****

Comic precision, heart and unflagging pace... Laughs are frequent, unsignalled and brilliant.
Times ****

As was my favourite show of the week, Dirty Great Love Story, a romantic comedy that was deftly conjured without prop or undue pizazz.
Observer

Richard Marsh and Katie Bonna’s two-person romantic comedy shows that a simple relationship drama paired with sophisticated storytelling can be clever and fun – and that sometimes that’s all you need.
