FRED'S DINER at Chichester

Penelope Skinner’s new play, FRED’S DINER, opens at Chichester Festival Theatre this week, in its custom made Theatre on the Fly tent, which is being used to accommodate a triptych of plays to coincide with the theatre’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

Shot through with black humour, the play is set in an American Diner on an English motorway, where frustrated desires and regret-ridden lives lead to murder...

The production is directed by Tim Hoare with a cast that includes Olivia Poulet, and will be playing from 15th August to 2nd September.

Tickets for the show can be bought here.

Reviews
It’s a triumph for Chichester’s pop-up theatre... and for a riveting playwright.
Sunday Times ****

Skinner’s verbal adroitness is always joyful, and the production sets off at a tremendous pace on a
wave of well deserved laughs... She is a writer full of talent and promise... stylish, neatly crafted, great fun to watch
