MOONE BOY Airs Friday 14th September on Sky 1, 9.30pm/10pm

Co-written by Chris O’Dowd and Nick Vincent Murphy, and edited by Joe Randall-Cutler, Moone Boy is the story of 11-year-old Martin Moone growing up with his imaginary friend, Sean, in the small Irish town of Boyle.

‘It’s whimsical, surreal and warms the cockles without being mawkish. Most importantly of all, it’s very, very funny. Moone Boy is an instant classic.’ – The Times

“It’s not often that a comedy can make you shudder with laughter, sigh with recognition and balk with surprise. But MOONE BOY is one such offering. It could be the comedy of the year.” - Alex Hardy, The Times on Saturday

"...one of the best things Sky's comedy drive has produced. It's a warm and inventive show [...]. Scenes rarely play out quite the way you expect, yet the comedy also feels true and recognisable, and this helps it to be genuinely funny - laugh-out-loud funny, and that's rare.*****” - Daily Mail Weekend

"Commissioning a second series of a show before the first one even airs is virtually unheard of in the TV world. Chris O’Dowd and Nick Vincent Murphy’s ‘Moone Boy’, however, has achieved this feat ahead of its air date tomorrow night (September 14) on Sky One" - Eva Hall, IFTN
