Emma Sullivan shortlisted for Wellcome Screenwriting Prize

Writer and director Emma Sullivan is one of six finalists to compete for the inaugural Wellcome Trust Screenwriting Prize, run in association with BFI Film Fund.

The prize, encouraging the development of high-quality feature films inspired by biology or medicine, will be be awarded next month by a panel of judges including experts from the Wellcome Trust, the BFI Film Fund and Film4.

As well as the £20,000 prize to develop their idea, the winner will receive support in scientific research from the Wellcome Trust as well as in script development from the BFI Film Fund.
