BFI Shorts 2012 Finalists Announced

Writer and director Michael Keillor’s short thriller LIAM & LENKA has been chosen as one of 16 projects to receive backing from the BFI/Lighthouse Shorts Scheme.

Reduced from 1000 applications, the shortlisted projects were then provided with a development period from Lighthouse and the BFI before the final 16 short films were selected.

Each film will have their budget of up to £50,000 fully funded by BFI Film Fund and are due to be delivered in 2013.

Other successful applicants include writer and director, Jonathan van Tulleken, who will be collaborating with Edinburgh Comedy Winner Tim Key on the Black Comedy ANTHONY.
