OUR BOYS opens in the West End

David Grindley's production of OUR BOYS by Jonathan Lewis (with sound design by Greg Clarke) has opened in London's West End for a twelve-week run at the Duchess Theatre.   Six injured squaddies find ways to alleviate inertia and struggle to come to terms with possible post-service life.

"............. set in a  military hospital in 1984 ...........  (Laurence) Fox brings a sharp wit to the part of Joe.... Lewis has a fine ear for the razor-sharp humour and David Grindley keeps the action going at  a brisk clip ...."   Jane Shilling The Telegraph

".......... strongly cast revival ................. the acting is very good.......the play captures with vivid accuracy the instinctive distrust of the squaddies for the outsider ......................   Michael Billington The Guardian

"......   fired by principled indignation at the shabby way those who suffer for our security can find themselves treated....................."   Paul Taylor The Independent
