HBO Picks Up HELLO LADIES Series

Stephen Merchant has signed a deal with HBO for a full series of his sitcom HELLO LADIES.

The pilot was co-written by Merchant, along with US OFFICE writers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky and stars Merchant as a geeky Englishman attempting to find an ideal woman in Los Angeles.

The pilot has been granted an eight-episode first season, expected to be broadcast in 2013.
