UA Clients on CILIP Carnegie AND Kate Greenaway Longlist

Nine of our children's authors and illustrators were this afternoon included on the longlists for the CILIP Carnegie Medal and the Kate Greenaway Medal, prizes respectively awarded to the outstanding writer and illustrator of a children's book of the year. UA authors longlisted for the former include: B. R. Collins for The Broken Road; Phil Earle for Saving Daisy; Marie-Louise Jensen for The Girl in the Mask; and Sally Nicholls for All Fall Down. Kate Hindley's The Great Snortle Hunt, written by Claire Freedman; King Jack and the Dragon and The Yoga Ogre, both written by Peter Bently and illustrated by Helen Oxenbury and Simon Rickerty respectively; Ali Pye's Where is Fred?, written by Edward Hardy; and The Frank Show by David Mackintosh have all been longlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal.

The shortlist will be announced on Tuesday 12th March 2013, with the winners of each category being announced on Wednesday 19th June.
