THE TOWN starts tonight on ITV 1 at 9pm.

Andrew Scott stars alongside an outstanding ensemble cast including Kelly Adams, Douglas Hodge, Gerard Kearns, Martin Savage and Avigail Tlalim.

Following a family tragedy, 30 year old Mark Nicholas (Andrew Scott) returns to the town where he grew up. After ten years away, coming home is harder than Mark could ever have imagined. His grandmother Betty is now living in his bedroom and he barely know his teenage sister Jodie (Avigail Tlalim). The town is governed by an influential mayor and there's a claustrophobic sense everyone knows everyone else's business. Most of Mark's school friends still live there, as does his first love Alice, who stayed behind when he left. They still have strong feelings for each other but Alice is now married with a child.
