Alan Snow's Here Be Monsters to be made into animated film

Laika and Focus Features, the companies behind Coraline and ParaNorman, are teaming up to create a 3D stop-motion and CG animation version of Alan Snow's fantasy novel Here be Monsters. With a voice cast that includes Ben Kingsley, Toni Collette, Elle Fanning, Jared Harris, Richard Ayoade, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg, the film, renamed The Boxtrolls for the screen, will hit cinemas in 2014.
