Red House Children's Book Award Success

Sophie McKenzie has won the best book for Older Readers award at the 2013 Red House Children's Book Awards with The Medusa Project: Hit Squad, the last title in her thrilling series about teenagers with extraordinary abilities.

The only national book award that is voted for entirely by children, Elen Caldecott's Operation Eiffel Tower was also shortlisted in the best book for Younger Readers category.

The overall prize this year was won by Andrew Weale's The Spooky Spooky House, winner of the best book for Younger Children category.
