Deborah Bruce shortlisted for Susan Smith Blackburn Prize

Deborah Bruce has been listed among the ten finalists for the prestigious Susan Smith Blackburn Prize 2012/13 for her play, THE DISTANCE.  The award, now in its 35th year, annually honours an outstanding new English language play by a woman, chosen from more than 100 nominated plays.

THE DISTANCE is one of Deborah’s first plays, having only recently turned her hand to playwriting, and she is also currently under commission to the National Theatre.

The winner of the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize will be named at the awards presentation on 17th March at the Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas.
