Carnegie and Greenaway Shortlist Success

Nick Lake has been shortlisted for the prestigious CILIP Carnegie Medal 2013 with his powerful, moving novel IN DARKNESS, set in the aftermath of the Haitian earthquake.

Rebecca Cobb's LUNCHTIME has been shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Award 2013, as has Peter Bently's KING JACK AND THE DRAGON, illustrated by Helen Oxenbury.

The awards recognise the best children's writing and illustration in the last year respectively, and the winners of each category will be announced on Wednesday 19th June.
