WINE GRAPES wins André Simon Food and Drink Book Award

The much-acclaimed WINE GRAPES:A complete guide to 1,368 vine varieties, including their origins and flavours written by Jancis Robinson, Julia Harding and José Vouillamoz took top honors in the drinks category last night. These prestigious awards honour the top food and wine books each year in the spirit of André Simon,"the charismatic leader of the English wine trade for almost all of the first half of the 20th century, and the grand old man of literate connoisseurship for a further 20 years."  The awards reception took place at The Goring Hotel in London.
