Sarah Moss shortlisted for 2013 RSL Ondaatje Prize

Sarahs Moss’s beautiful memoir, NAMES FOR THE SEA, has been shortlisted for the Royal Society of Literature’s 10^th annual Ondaatje prize. The prize of £10,000 is awarded for a distinguished work of fiction, non-fiction or poetry, evoking the spirit of a place.

Published last year to excellent reviews, it ‘gives you a series of marvellous insights into Iceland without any of travel writing’s usual narrative tricks and tropes– but by writing honestly and intimately about her family’s life there.’
