Sarah Moss shortlisted for 2013 RSL Ondaatje Prize

Sarahs Moss’s beautiful memoir, NAMES FOR THE SEA, has been shortlisted for the Royal Society of Literature’s 10th annual Ondaatje prize. The prize of £10,000 is awarded for a distinguished work of fiction, non-fiction or poetry, evoking the spirit of a place.

Published last year to excellent reviews, it ‘gives you a series of marvellous insights into Iceland without any of travel writing’s usual narrative tricks and tropes– but by writing honestly and intimately about her family’s life there.’

The winner will be announced at a dinner in the last week of May. For more information on the prize, please click here
