UA talent chosen as Screen's Stars of Tomorrow

Screen Daily’s annual UK Stars of Tomorrow feature was unveiled today, and featured two of our own up-and-comers Cathy Brady and Hong Khaou in the fields of writing and directing.

Editor of Screen International, Wendy Mitchell, said of this year’s list:

“We feel this year’s selection of actors and filmmakers could be the next household name or Oscar winner in the years to come. They are a real testament to how much talent there is in Britain at the moment, and they have such bright futures ahead.”

Cathy Brady is a recent graduate of the NFTS, with her graduation film WASTED having just premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. She is currently co-developing her debut feature ROUGH SKIN with Laura Lomas, with the backing of Element Pictures.

Hong Khaou  is currently completing his first feature LILTING (starring Ben Whishaw), which is being distributed in the UK by Artificial Eye, with international sales being handled by Protagonist
