TWELVE ANGRY MEN at the Birmingham Rep

The Birmingham Rep’s revival of Reginald Rose’s TWELVE ANGRY MEN has now opened, in a production directed by Christopher Haydon and designed by Michael Pavelka.

A classic of fifties theatre, and immortalised in the much-loved film,Twelve Angry Men is still as hardhitting and vital today. One man’s life hangs in the balance. Should he face the death sentence for murder? Twelve men convene in one claustrophobic room to decide. Having nearly reached a unanimous verdict of guilty, a single dissenting voice instigates an insightful, but emotionally charged, examination of the facts.

Is there enough reasonable doubt to acquit? And can he persuade his eleven fellow jurors to spare the life of the accused?

The production runs until Saturday 19th October and tickets can be bought here.

It will then play at the Theatre Royal Norwich (21st to 26th October) and Malvern Theatres (28th October to 2nd November) before transferring to the Garrick Theatre in the West End (7th November to 1st March 2014) (tickets via the respective links).
