Henry Reece wins the Samuel Pepys Award 2013

Henry Reece has won the sixth Samuel Pepys Award for The Army in Cromwellian England, 1649-1660.

The award is given to a book which makes the greatest contribution to the understanding of diarist Pepys and his times.

The book, described by Bernard Capp as "a study of major importance, finely judged, stimulating, and based on massive and impeccable research" , is published by Oxford University Press.
