Golden Globe Nominees Announced

Huge congratulations to all our clients who have been nominated at this year’s Golden Globes, not least Jeff Pope who has been nominated for Best Screenplay alongside his writing partner Steve Coogan for feature film, PHILOMENA. The film has also received a coveted nomination for Best Motion Picture: Drama,  as well as Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for Dame Judi Dench. UA’s Sophie Kennedy Clark also stars.

Lavish period drama, THE WHITE QUEEN, also achieved three nominations, securing nods for Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, Best Actress in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for Rebecca Ferguson, and Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for Janet McTeer. UA client James Kent helmed the project, with Nic Ede acting as Costume Designer and David Luther as Director of Photography.

And to Kate Winslet who has been nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her stunning performance in Jason Reitman’s LABOR DAY.

Other nominations include BLUE IS THE WARMEST COLOUR for Best Foreign Language Picture, starring Lea Seydoux; DOWNTON ABBEY for Best Television Series: Drama, starring Kevin Doyle ; and RUSH for Best Motion Picture: Drama starring Natalie Dormer and Pierfrancesco Favino.
