Jonathan Amos A.C.E wins Editing Award at Sundance

Jonathan Amos A.C.E has won the Editing Award for World Cinema Documentary at the Sundance Film Festival, for his work on 20,000 DAYS ON EARTH. On announcing the winner, Nick Offerman commented:

Truth and documentary editing can be opposing forces. Rarely did we as a jury see a film confront this paradox with such boldness and unexpected authenticity, constructing a narrative and a cinematic reality that seamlessly blends performance and storytelling with deep emotional truths.

20,000 DAYS ON EARTH is the artist and musician Nick Cave’s new drama-documentary, directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, who in turn won The World Cinema Documentary Directing Award for their work. Depicting a fictitious 24 hours in the life of Nick Cave, the documentary offers an intimate portrayal of his artistic process.

20,000 DAYS ON EARTH will continue to screen at festivals before being released in cinemas worldwide, later this year.
