Olivier Award Nominations 2014

The list of nominations for the Olivier Awards 2014 has been revealed.

Douglas Hodge was nominated in the category of Best Actor in a Musical for his role as Willy Wonka in CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY. 

Jenna Russell's work in MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG has gained her a nomination for Best Actress in a Musical.

Nigel Planer is nominated for Best Supporting Performance in Musical for his role as Grandpa Joe in CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY.

Maria Friedman's directorial work on MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG is nominated for the Best Director award.

Lighting Designer Tim Mascall is involved in two nominated productions. Both ERIC AND LITTLE ERN and DERREN BROWN: INFAMOUS are nominated for Best Entertainment & Family Show.

WOZZECK, directed by Carrie Cracknell, is up for a nomination for Best New Opera Production 

Other nominations include FLEABAG, directed by Vicky Jones, for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre. Also, PRIVATES LIVES, directed by Jonathan Kent, is nominated in the Best Revival category.
