Deirdre Madden inducted into Hennessey Awards Hall of Fame

Congratulations to Deirdre Madden who has been inducted into the Hennessey Literary Awards Hall of Fame. Since 2003, one distinguished writer has been inducted into the Hall of Fame each year. This year's judges were critic Ciaran Carty, poet Theo Dorgan and literary agent Peter Straus.

Deirdre was delighted with the honour, noting that as a recipient of a Hennessey Literary Award back in 1980, it was 'such a great honour to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. I am joining the ranks of some of the greatest Irish writers of our time; authors who have meant a great deal to me over the course of my life.'

Deirdre joins a list of authors including Dermot Healy, John Boyne, Sebastian Barry
