Olivier Award Winners 2014

A number of United Agents' clients' work has been recognised at the 2014 Olivier Awards, which took place at the Royal Opera House on Sunday 13th April. Hosted by Stephen Mangan, the awards reflected the incredible successes from the array of talent on United's roster, over a year full of innovative and dynamic acting, design, costume and music.

Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre went to Handbagged by Moira Buffini, which is currently on at the Tricycle Theatre.  Richard Kent provided Stage Design.

Wind in the Willows at the Duchess Theatre won in the Best Entertainment and Family category, and was written by Andrew Motion.  Will Kemp was rewarded for his role as Ratty.

Other United Agents clients were also involved in winning productions.  Best Musical Revival went to Merrily We Roll Along, which was directed by Maria Friedman, and starred Jenna Russell.  And Stephen Mangan was in the original cast of Jeeves & Wooster in Perfect Nonsense, at the Duke of York's theatre.

‘Chimerica’, starring actor Nancy Crane, won the American Airlines award for Best New Play.  ‘Ghosts’, at the Almeida Theatre and Trafalgar Studios, won the award for Best Revival. Actor Brian McCardie is currently starring in the play by Henrik Ibsen.

The English Touring Opera were awarded the Outstanding Achievement in Opera award, where costume designer Marie-Jeanne Lecca provided co-design for ‘La Boheme’.
