THE VILLAGE Series Two

Peter Moffat's emotive drama is back for a hotly anticipated second series.

THE VILLAGE portrays early 20th Century life through the eyes of Bert Middleton, a young man living in a Derbyshire farming community.

This series stars Emily Beecham, returning as the troubled Caro Allingham. As Caro endeavours to move on from traumatic past events, she actively embraces the fashions and decadence of the 'roaring Twenties'. But will she ever be able to forget the child she has been forced to leave behind?

Series Two also sees the return of Annabelle Apsion and Jim Cartwright as Margaret Boden and Peter the landlord, and introduces Phoebe (Phoebe Dynevor) the station master's young romantic daughter.

The creative team includes Dominic Leclerc, Director of both the penultimate episode and the gripping finale, David Raedeker as Director of Photography, and James Taylor as Editor of episodes 3 and 4.

THE VILLAGE returns to our screens on Sunday night at 9pm on BBC1.
