LILTING opens in the UK

Writer/director Hong Khaou's feature debut LILTING is now on general release in the UK, amassing strong critical acclaim across the board:

Empire ****

A mature and moving debut feature from Cambodian director Hong Khaou with strong turns from Whishaw and Pei-Pei.

Independent ****

The writer/director Hong Khaou's chamber piece boasts some wonderful performances from veteran Chinese actress Pei Pei Cheng, Ben Whishaw and the still dapper Peter Bowles.

Total Film ****

…it’s the fully invested leads and graceful, poetic direction that give this study of emotional interiors its subtly heartbreaking power.

Daily Express ****

The sensitivity of the screenplay by Hong Khaou and the finely judged performances from Ben Whishaw and Cheng Pei Pei all add to the feel of a beautifully made, miniaturist drama.

Produced by Dominic Buchanan, through Film Microwave London, LILTING opened the World Dramatic Competition at this year's Sundance Film Festival, taking home the award for Best Cinematography.

Composer Stuart Earl provided the score, with Annette Field as make-up designer and Camille Benda as costume designer.
