BOOGALOO & GRAHAM makes Oscar semi-final list

Director Michael Lennox's short film BOOGALOO & GRAHAM has made it onto the Oscar's live-action shorts semi-final list.

The film, one of ten selected out of 141 entries, which also features the work of UA composer Jered Sorkin, tells the story of two young boys in 1970s Belfast who discover the facts of life, aided by the help of their pet chickens. It screend at this year's Toronto International Film Festival, and the Galway Film Fleadh where it won Special Mention for The Tiernan McBride Award for Best Short Drama. 

The short-films/feature-animation branch members of the Academy will select three to five nominees from among the 10 titles on the shortlist in December.
