Brand new seven-part drama BANISHED is a brutal tale that hits our screens at 9pm on Thursday 5th March on BBC2.
Centred on the historical founding of the penal colony in Australia in 1788, BANISHED portrays the fictional lives of the first British convicts exiled to the settlement, and the overseers of their re-institutionalisation.
BANISHED includes performances from UA’s Genevieve O’Reilly as Mrs Mary Johnson - the strong and respectful wife of the settlement’s Reverend, and David Dawson as the young Captain Collins who is responsible for the entire legal establishment of the colony, with the power to increase or shorten any prisoner's stay…
